Elisabeth Gollhammer
Elisabeth Gollhammer (née Maier) was employed as a housekeeper during the 1910s by a physician’s family in Pinzgau. A native of Mattighofen, among her papers she left a vaccination certificate from 1916 and several photographs of a befriended war nurse, who worked during the First World War in the Imperial-Royal Epidemic Hospital in Troppau (today Opava/Czech Republic) and in the garrison hospital in Przemyśl. In 1918 Elisabeth Gollhammer married the Gendarmerie (police service) officer Karl Gollhammer and probably terminated her service with the physician’s family at the same time.
